Ray is a Physical Therapist Assistant who joined the Fischer Institute team in August of 2016, bringing nearly 10 years of injury rehabilitation and sports training experience with him. Ray has previous clinical experience as a physical therapy technician, personal trainer, and also has worked in the marketing and business development side of the industry as well. Ray has always called Phoenix home, graduating from Arizona State University and Pima Medical Institute.
Ray discovered his interest of physical therapy and fitness while in high school, as his football injuries allowed him to experience a combination of physical therapy and sports performance training. Following high school, he always knew this was the career path he wanted to pursue. Ray graduated from Arizona State University, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2008. While attending college, Ray became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2006, and began training in group of corporate gyms in downtown Phoenix, while also performing employee health-risk assessments for various corporations throughout the Valley. In 2007, Ray established his own fitness and performance company, and was given the opportunity to work within a sports rehabilitation clinic, allowing him to progress patients from the first few days of therapy to full fitness and sports training. Ray has enjoyed working with his personal training and sports performance clientele, and has successfully improved the performance of numerous athletes, from grade school to the professional level.
Ray graduated from Pima Medical Institute with an Associates of Occupational Studies in Physical Therapist Assistant. Ray strongly believes in his ability to provide successful rehabilitation outcomes, while improving his patient’s fitness and performance level to beyond pre-injury status. Ray enjoys activities outside of the clinic that allow him to improve his own fitness level, as well as spending quality time with his wife and daughters.
