Youth Athlete Performance Development Summer Camp

May 24 – July 28, 2021

Improve your athletic performance at the Fischer Institute

All Fischer programs are founded on the phrase “Always Athletic, Always Control the Weight”.  Whether training on the turf or gym floor, professional or youth athlete, the number one priority is on improving athletic movement patterns.

Priorities for youth training include:

  • FUNdamental technique prior to progression.  As with sport practice, fundamentals must be established prior to progressing to more advanced techniques/tasks.
  • Develop firm understanding and appreciation for lower and upper body movement and positioning…Improved motor control (aka, muscle memory)
  • Respecting the importance of proper warm-up/prep exercises and the associated range of motion
  • Progress ➡ Reinforce.  Start with successful movement, then build on that success.  Starting with body weight or appropriate low load weight and progress based on successful completion.  Continually reinforcing previous stages throughout program.

We provide a comprehensive program focused on the whole athlete and includes the following layers of emphasis:

– Acceleration/Speed
– Deceleration
– Agility/Change of Direction (C.O.D.)
– Strength/Power
– Mobility/Stability
– Core Training
